We introduce the concept of semicompleteness on semimetric space, which is weaker than completeness. We prove fixed point theorems for contractions in semicomplete semimetric spaces.
Also, we generalize Jachymski-Matkowski-Świątkowski’s fixed point theorem in semimetric spaces.
